Popular Apex Legends player and content creator Aceu (Brandon Winn) was left flabberghasted after being killed by a cheater using a game breaking dual wield aimbot.
The Apex community is fully aware that there is a hacking problem within the game, albeit not quite as rampant as other titles such as Warzone. However, with the introduction of a new cheat in February 2022 cheater have become able to dual wield any weapons in the game despite there being no dual wield feature within Apex Legends. As bad as this alone would be, when paired with aimbot, even professional players of the popular battle royale game are unable to defeat the cheaters.

During his live stream on 5th March, Aceu’s teammate was absolutely annihilated by what was instantly apparent as a cheater. When the team realised the player was also dual wielding weapons, they tried their best to eliminate them.
Despite their immense level of skill, they were ultimately defeated by the cheater, leaving Aceu astounded. “Man’s got the Akimbo. He’s got the Devo and Wingman right there” he said. “Look at this dude, look at this dude, I can’t wait to see it, this sh*t looks so goofy.” This is gold, I’m trying to be like this dude.”
While they watched the cheater started switching through weapons and spawning new ones: “Oh we’ve got akimbo Wingman! This is sick.” Aceu added. “He’s got the whole arsenal!”
Live ban
On a brighter note, following the incident Aceu continued by sending a message to Respawn developer Conor ‘Hideouts’ Ford, and after a few short moments of cheating chaos, the cheater was banned from thee game!
As much as there is a funny side to be seen in clips like this, it is worth noting that if the problem becomes more widespread and we start seeing akimbo weapons being wielded by more and more cheaters, it will have a detrimental effect on the game. Cheating when widespread can completely demolish thee enjoyment that the game holds, just ask any COD: Warzone player.
