PREHISTORIC POKEMON EXHIBITION TOUR

Pokémon has taken the world by storm since its release in 1996. Children across the globe have been trading cards and parading the much sought after shiny Charizard. Only to then realise as adults they wish they had kept it. It's a common story for most born in the late 80's and early 90's. The trend for Pokémon has only increased over time.

A touring prehistoric exhibit in Japan has set up camp comparing real-life dinosaurs to their Pokémon equivalents in huge fossil displays. Young and old, fans can learn a little bit about palaeontology.

Japanese website @InternetMuseum on Twitter has written about the event after attending its opening day.

Some of the Pokémon on display are fossils of Tyrunt with evolution Tyrantrum alongside Bastidon.

With replicas of Aerodactyl and Omanyte who where the original prehistoric Pokémon in generation 1. Its pretty cool to see life size creations not least their fossil sized

counterparts.

The entire tour uses many different fictional creatures such as Archeops and Kabuto to teach children about how excavation works, as well as how evolution works in real life compared to how its perceived in Pokémon.

Although only currently station in Japan all Pokémon fans can view a short tour of the exhibition online here.

We can only hope they bring it over to the UK.
