Players of Warzone are claiming that the servers are “worse than ever” after the Season 3 update went live, drawing attention to lag and packet loss problems that seem to be happening more often!
With Season 3 going live on 27th April a ton of changes hit Caldera and Rebirth Island with a mass of weapon changes also hitting the game.
However, although this update has brought some nice changes such as new POIs like Peak, Dig Site & Shipwreck, players are complaining that they have serious connection issues.
Redditor ‘Salt-Loan1327’ has said that the Warzone servers are “worse than ever” following the update. The continued, “I feel like I’m lagging but am running 19 ping usually, I can’t explain it but I know something has been off for a few weeks now.”
The intention of patches like this are generally to fix bugs and glitches, as well as bringing new content to the table, though the sad reality is that with Warzone, they often create more bugs than they address.
This is not an isolated incident with another player saying: “[I] can’t even enjoy a decent session without running into constant flat/missing textures, no footstep audio, and unreal lag, stuttering and packet burst. I constantly lose aim assist mid-fight and literally cannot see people because of the missing textures.”
And a third player suggested that it is caused by a lot of players being in one location at a time, saying: “50%+ of the games for anywhere from 1-5 minutes I run at like 10fps at stutter like crazy, makes dropping anywhere worthwhile completely useless because I can’t drop anywhere there’s going to be people.”
There has yet to be a response from Ravensoft, but hopefully we will see a quick resolution to improve the gaming experience for all.
