SHIFTY TV LIVE LIE DETECTOR TEST ENDS IN DISASTER

Where to begin on the evens from the Full Squad Gaming live stream event that was designed to prove once and for all whether Shifty TV is or has been cheating in Warzone?

The event was planned a few weeks ago when the “hackusations” aimed at Shifty TV were in full swing courtesy of Blazt and a few other Warzone pro players.

Shifty TV was accused of having unnatural aim in several tournaments, and this led to Blazt going on a Twitter rampage, posting numerous suspicious clips of Shifty’s gameplay.

Jake Lucky tweeted on March 21st that he and Full Squad Gaming (the org that Jake is a co-owner of) had officially offered Shifty the opportunity to come to their facility and try to prove his innocence.

Jake went on to explain that this would include a live stream of the event, Shifty being fully monitored while playing multiple games with pro players being present to watch this live. Jake also made one stipulation that Shifty would be subject to a lie detector test.

As the even unfolded, Shifty seemed comfortable dropping some relatively high kill games considering that every play was under a lot of scrutiny both from the people present at the Full Squad Gaming facility and those watching the live stream.

In predictable fashion, no concrete opinions were formed based solely on the gameplay, this led to a lie detector test near the end of the broadcast, something both Full Squad Gaming, Jake Lucky and NRG had been hyping up more than anything else throughout the day.

This was the point at which things quickly fell apart. The polygrapher conducting the test was John Grogan, who has appeared in reality TV shows like ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ and ‘Beauty and The Geek’ among many others. Despite being referred to on Tv as “one of the most respected polygraph examiners in the country”, his legitimacy was called into question.

Over the years, Grogan has been labelled a fraud on multiple occasions, with his qualifications being called into question. These allegations are not just from the court of public opinion, but also in the Superior Court of the State of California as well.

As the Twitch chat and twitter feeds started to fill up with posts questioning the legitimacy of this “expert” the Full Squad Gaming channel quickly moved to an intermission screen!

With thousands if not more eagerly awaiting the results of the test, hosts Jake Lucky and Grady Rains soon returned to address the crowd of watchers. They made the decision not to share the results of Shifty’s lie detector test due to the claims against Grogan now piling up.

Within minutes the stream was shut down and all VODS were deleted on Twitch with the YouTube stream being made private so that no one could view it.

Most would agree that this entire event was thrown into disrepute, and it is not out of line to ask where the due diligence from the organizers was when researching the polygrapher before hiring. Perhaps they opted for someone with a big name rather than big credentials as he would sell the event better? Whether this is the case or not, proper research was clearly lacking in this aspect of the planning phase for this event.

Jake Lucky took to Twitter to address the situation once more, explaining that he did not feel comfortable sharing the lie detector results and stating that he feels this was the right call.

The hosts did offer to cover the costs for a second lie detector test officiated by someone with more credibility, but it appears Shifty TV opted against this stating that he “just wants to play COD” moving forward.

Though it is just speculation, if Shifty has passed the first lie detector test, he would surely be shouting about it on social media, or at the very least would be willing to double down and take a second test to confirm what the first had proved!
