HEADDBAND RESPONDS TO HACKUSATIONS

As we reported yesterday, suspicions were raised as to the legitimacy of Headdband's Call of Duty: Warzone gameplay.

If you dont know who Headdband is, he is a prominent anti cheat YouTuber, more commonly referred to as a "Hacker Hunter". He posts videos centred around Warzone content creators and what he deems to be suspicious gameplay. As you can understand this gives a level of irony to the fact that he himself is currently the accused. His most notable videos include accusing players like Diaz Biffle, Zlaner, Mutex and Huskerrs of cheating in Warzone.

If you didn't see our article yesterday regarding the accusations against Headdband you can check out the back story here:

Headdband's response

The way a content creator responds to "hackusations" can often be quite telling. As some of the more prominent "hacker hunter" content creators have pointed out in the past, proving your innocence should be a high priority thing to do if you have nothing to hide. There are multiple ways to show you are not cheating, such as showing your task manager, a monitor camera to show there are no wallhacks, a hand camera to show that controller input matches the output in game and as we stated yesterday in the article about ItsHapa's Headdband accusation, logging into any other accounts you own to show that they are not banned.

Headdband's response to this so far has been limited. He has intimated that he is willing to consider adding more cameras to his setup as a way to prove some innocence but has not taken any steps to show that the older accounts linked to him remain unbanned. As previously reported, to prove these accounts are unbanned would be a simple matter of logging into them and dropping into a game to show that they are both active and have no restrictions on them.

We have reached out for a response from Headdband and will update you when/if he does reply, to hopefully share his side of the story.

Notorious streamer conspiracy theorist @headdband appears to have been tricked into accusing his own gameplay of hacking.

More to come?

On his YouTube video accusing Headdband, ItsHapa pinned his own comment which suggests he has more clips to follow and that they are in fact more damning than the clip currently being discussed.

Will the upcoming clips be more incriminating? ItsHapa seems to think so, and with regards to cheating, who knows better than someone who has not only cheated extensively in the past, but also has lines of communication with some of the more prominent cheat developers in the Warzone scene. We will certainly be waiting with anticipation so see just what these follow up clips reveal.

Previous Accusations

There have been a few smaller content creators asking questions about Headdband's legitimacy throughout his tenure as a "hacker hunter", but the most memorable instance is when Headdband accused himself of having suspicious gameplay.

On October 1st 2021 Headdband responded to a clip on twitter by saying "What a damning clip. Great eye man. Not natural at all." Following this, in a shock turn of events, it became apparent that the clip was Headdband’s own gameplay.

This created quite a stir in the Warzone scene and was even reported on by prominent news sites such as Dexerto and Esports Talk.

Headdband responded to this situation quickly and unwaveringly by explaining that he was being sarcastic in his reply to the clip and that he was aware that it was his own gameplay. He also went on to say that he had learned to be more careful in his replies and how they could be taken, recognising that people will try and trip him up.

We will keep you up to date on this story as it unfolds, we await a response from Headdband and the follow up from ItsHapa eagerly. There is certainly more to come, so stay up to date with us here on BBB Gaming News.
