After a week full of surprises, twists and turns at the Apex Legends Global Series Split 2 tournament in Stockholm, Sweden. Reignite have toppled all competitors to take home the tournament victory, along with a cool $250,000.
Personally this journalist was rooting the other Aussie roster of Team Burger but none the less, the competition was absolutely fantastic and considered by many to be the most entertaining and impressive Apex Legends Competitions to date.
Surprisingly enough Reignite wasn't even one of the more popular picks going into the final day of competition, with opposition such as OpTic Gaming, 100 Thieves, Cloud 9 and dark horses Elevate, but they managed to gain and astounding 78 total points, landing them just ahead of 2nd place finishers, Team Liquid, who finished 9 points off the lead.
Reignite along with their tournament victory and $250k cash prize, were also rewarded with some all important Playoff Points, which might come in clutch for them, in their attempts to capture a spot in the ALGS CHAMPIONSHIP at the end of the season.
With the current season almost complete and many changes set to rescale the Apex landscape, only time will tell if we just witnessed a future Apex Legends Champion or if a completely different story will unfold within the Apex Comp scene.
